Alitheia Identity Joins Global Summit on Financial Inclusion for Women
DAR ES SALAAM – Alitheia Identity travels to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania this week for global NGO Women’s World Banking’s biennial international gathering, the Making Finance Work for Women Summit. The event is a two-day program featuring leading international experts driving the innovations in women’s financial inclusion.
“I am thrilled to join global colleagues who share Alitheia Identity’s passion for promoting women’s economic empowerment. I welcome the opportunity to share our proactive approach to funding businesses led by female founders and co-founders towards ensuring greater participation of women at executive management and board level; and to learn about other approaches and insights that can help bring us closer to achieving full financial and economic inclusion for women."
Anne Marie Chidzero, Managing Partner, Alitheia Identity Managers
Anne-Marie Chidzero joins 300 executives from the financial services, consumer products and technology industries as well as investors, philanthropists and government representatives from more than 30 countries. Participants will examine the best practices in researching, designing and delivering solutions to low-income women around the world.
"The remarkable range of participants joining us—from Behavioral Scientists to FinTech disruptors—is a testament to the growing realization that women are the most dynamic market segment in the world. Low-income women represent a tremendous market opportunity, and delivering financial services to women is an undeniable imperative for economic growth in the emerging markets.”
- Iskenderian, President and CEO, Women’s World Banking
The Making Finance Work for Women Summit agenda includes interactive sessions on digital financial services, human-centered design, consumer segmentation, inclusive policy and regulation, gender lens impact investing, and diversity and inclusion in corporate leadership.
Anne-Marie Chidzero will speak on a panel about Gender Lens Impact Investing.
“A financially empowered woman not only supports her business and her family, she is an asset to the community and to the global economy. Plus, gender diversity and hence diversity of thought and approaches from boardroom to factory floor drives greater performance and prosperity for companies and society. This has a ripple effect, not only on the financial services industry but on all industries, that capitalize and leverage the economic potential of women. I look forward to the rich discussion at the Summit, and gaining further insights to enhance Alitheia Identity’s investment strategy”
